General Usage

Ginger rhizome is used to treat a wide range of ailments including pain, inflammation, and gastrointestinal disorders. Traditionally, ginger has been used in managing several diseases, such as neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, diabetes mellitus, chemotherapy-induced nausea and emesis, and respiratory disorders, amongst others.

Zingiber officinale (Ginger) belongs to the Zingiberaceae family. The ginger rhizome has been used for centuries as a spice and herbal medicine. It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and anticancer activities. Ginger rhizome has plenty of active constituents, such as phenolic and terpene compounds.
