General Usage
Traditionally, cinnamon is considered a very good source of iron, calcium, magnesium, and dietary fibers. Apart from being a spice and flavoring agent, cinnamon bark is used for removing bad breath, increasing colon health, treating toothaches, and other dental issues. C. zeylanicum is a coagulant and prevents bleeding, increases the blood circulation in the uterus and advances tissue regeneration, and acts as an anticancer agent.
Overview
Cinnamomum zeylanicum (Dalchini / Cinnamon) is a bushy evergreen tropical tree. The bark of younger tree is smooth & pale, whereas bark of mature tree is brittle and brownish. Cinnamon bark has great aromatic and medicinal usage. It is antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant in nature. The cinnamon bark also has anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, antimicrobial, anticancer, lipid-lowering, and cardiovascular-disease-lowering compounds.
